Béla Fleck | The Africa Project
February 25, 2010 8 pm
TicketsThe unrivaled master of the American banjo, Béla Fleck is also a historian of his craft. Several years ago he went from the U.S. to Africa, intrigued by the banjo’s ancestry and an urge to bridge the continents’ musical divide. In this collaboration with amazing African musicians, Fleck creates some of the most memorable music of his career. The film Throw Down Your Heart documents The Africa Project.
There will be two showings of Throw Down Your Heart at the Student Union Theater sponsored by SUBOG
Wed, Feb 17, 7:00; Sun, Feb 21, 12 :00
