2 Dope Queens is a live comedy show and podcast hosted by Phoebe Robinson ("Broad City") and Jessica Williams ("The Daily Show"). The podcast debuted in April 2016 and was met with enormous success, immediately shooting to number one on the iTunes podcast charts. It features comedians of diverse identities and walks of life, and focuses on stories of love, sex, race, and just about everything else. For Williams, it's about being able "to give our friends and a lot of people of color and different orientations an opportunity to speak for themselves." The success of 2 Dope Queens has inspired other projects as well, including 'Sooo Many White Guys,' an interview-talkshow hosted by Robinson.
Robinson and Williams have been invited to perform at a variety of comedy festivals including Comedy Central's Clusterfest, and the pair was recently featured in O, The Oprah Magazine. Their standup takes a clear-eyed, sassy and relatable approach to the struggles and quirks of daily life. This show will get you nodding, laughing and cheering as you experience the comedic genius of 2 Dope Queens.
